Birding Cape May Point - Saturday, January 18th, 2014
A cold and windy morning and birds seemed to be honkered down. A good variety of ducks were found on the leeward side of the ponds. They included the usual Gadwalls, American Wigeon, and Mallard, as well as two maybe three drake Eurasian Wigeon, Ring-necked Ducks, Lesser Scaup, Redheads, and Ruddy Ducks. Leaders: Karl Lukens, Kathy & Roger Horn, Steve Weis, and Catherine Busch.

Birding Cape May Point - Saturday, January 11th, 2014
Foggy with poor visibility. The continuing Black-capped Chickadee was easy to locate at "its" feeder. Good scope view of an adult Red-shouldered Hawk. Ducks on Lily Lake were scarce and looking off shore was not possible. Lots of Yellow-rumped Warblers. Leaders: Karl Lukens, Kathy & Roger Horn, Tom Baxter, and Steve Weis.

Birding Cape May Point - Saturday, January 4th, 2014
Very cold starting at 10 degrees with calm to light wind. Birds were feeding at weed and lawn edges or at feeders. We did manage to find the White-winged Dove and the two Eurasian Collared-Doves. The other highlights were the several Greater White-fronted Geese on a frozen Lily lake and the continuing Rufous Hummingbird at a feeder at Cambridge and Coral Aves. Leaders: Karl Lukens, Kathy & Roger Horn, and Tom Baxter.
