Drawn by the geese, our small group headed to Lily Lake. Along the way, we found our first of a number of American Woodcock with their bills tucked sunning themselves. By this time, the Canadas were leaving Lily Lake to feed for the day. This afforded us a very nice opportunity to shoot them in flight. It also allowed us a chance to discuss and explore adjusting exposure for dark subjects in flight against a much lighter sky.
