Birding Cape May Point - Saturday, March 22nd, 2014

Lighthouse Pond West held a large number of ducks including Ring-necked, Lesser Scaup, Bufflehead, Northern Shovelers, and the continuing Eurasian Wigeon and Eurasian Green-winged Teal. Off-shore there were Black and Surf Scoter, and fairly close Northern Gannets. Four American Oystercatchers were also along the beach. An Osprey was seen over Lily Lake and we had a brief look from the parking lot at a fly-by Eurasian Collared-Dive. Leaders: Karl Lukens, Kathy & Roger Horn, Steve Weis, Mike Hannisian, and Carrie Bell.
