Spring Migrants at the Rea Farm - Saturday, April 5th, 2014

A great day for Great Egrets with a total of 71 flying overhead in groups of two, five, and ten. We also had four perched Black-crowned Night-Herons and a couple of Great Blue Heron. A few interesting ducks on the willow pond included three pair of Ring-necked, and a pair of Wood Ducks. Both Tree and Barn Swallows were around the ponds. Other small birds were Golden-crowned Kinglets, Pine, Palm, and Yellow-rumped Warblers as well as at least five Eastern Phoebes. Leaders: Karl Lukens, Chris Marks, and Nancy Watson.
